Sonja Lukić (1988, Belgrade) completed her elementary and higher music education in ''Dr. Vojislav Vučković'' music school with Prof. Perina Popović and Prof. Ivana Nikolić. In 2007 she also graduated from the Third Belgrade High School with honors. Bachelor and Master studies Sonja finished in 2011 and 2013 with Prof. Tijana Humo at the Faculty of Music, University of Arts in Belgrade with the highest grade (9.70), and grade 10 at the final piano exam.
She was awarded with Dositeja Student Award by the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Serbia, the Fund for Young Talents of the Republic of Serbia, for the best 1000 students in 2011.
During her studies, Sonja attended and participated in various courses and lessons. Sonja extends special gratitude to the professors who held these classes and courses: Prof. Ninoslav, Živković, Dejan Subotić, Đorđe Milojković and Mirjana Rajić.
As a soloist and chamber performer, Sonja is the winner of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd awards at national and international competitions. As a student, she participated in The Days of Chopin music in Kolarac Foundation Gallery and Student Cultural Centre hall. Sonja performed with Tango Juventud Ensemble in 2005 and won the 1st prize at Astor Piazzolla Competiton in Castelfidardo, Italy, in the class of the Professor and bandoneon player Aleksandar Nikolić.
Since 2013, Sonja has been playing as a member and the
pianist of Tanguango quintet.
Sonja performed as a soloist and chamber performer in
Kolarac hall, SASA hall (Serbian Academy of Science and Arts), City House hall in Belgrade, Student Cultural Centre, Children Cultural Centre, Guarnerius hall, The Museum of Science and Technology, House of King Peter I, Art Pavilion Cvijeta Zuzorić, Artget gallery, BELEF festival, etc. She collaborates with actors form the Theatre Atelje 212. Sonja was a guest in many TV and radio shows on Radio Belgrade, Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) and Studio B TV.
Sonja has been teaching piano since 2012 at the music school “Dr Vojislav Vučkovć“.
